One of the UAE’s leading advanced technology and defence groups, EDGE Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Brazilian Navy, through its Naval Aviation Directorate. The agreement establishes a framework for technical cooperation focused on maritime monitoring, surveillance, and reconnaissance capabilities.
Under the agreement, the two parties will explore studies, exchange knowledge, and assess relevant solutions; mature operational concepts and identify technical, logistical, and training requirements; evaluate the feasibility of future initiatives of interest to the Brazilian Navy; and develop human capital dedicated to monitoring and surveillance of Brazil’s maritime space.
The MoU builds on the existing defence cooperation between Brazilian Navy and EDGE Group, establishing a basis for further joint initiatives in support of Brazil’s maritime domain awareness.
