Gulf Aviation Academy (GAA), the training arm of Gulf Air Group, has signed a strategic partnership with Export Facilitators Limited to bring a state-of-the-art Boeing B737NG Level-D Full-Flight Simulator to Bahrain. This agreement marks a significant milestone for GAA as it manages its first full-flight Boeing simulator, further strengthening Bahrain’s position as a leading aviation training hub. The partnership was formalized on the second day of the Bahrain International Airshow, held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, from November 13–15, 2024.
Under the agreement, Export Facilitators has acquired the cutting-edge simulator from CAE, the world’s leading manufacturer of civil full-flight simulators. The simulator will be housed in GAA’s state-of-the-art facility, where GAA will provide world-class training services to a global clientele. GAA will manage client acquisition, daily operations, and maintenance to ensure the highest industry standards are met.
The B737NG Level-D Simulator, one of only a few in the world, features the latest technology, including a Heads-Up Display (HUD) and Enhanced Vision System (EVS). This advanced platform positions GAA as one of the few Approved Training Organizations (ATOs) globally offering training on such a sophisticated simulator.
Gulf Air’s Chief Operations Officer, Captain Qasim Ismaeel stated, “This partnership represents a significant milestone for GAA and the Kingdom of Bahrain. By hosting this state-of-the-art B737NG Level-D Simulator, we are not only enhancing our training capabilities but also contributing to the growth of the aviation industry in the region.
